• Develop, code, test and debug new software and/or enhancements to existing software in Java and web-applications on MS-Windows and LINUX/UNIX platforms.
• Design the reusable component interface so that it can be consumed by a wide variety of Point of Sale applications, including MySabre, new POAm platform, and other web applications.
• Work with other teams to integrate the reusable GUI components into “calling applications” and to consume services from other teams.
• Promote the use of reusable components to the POS teams so that we can realize the maximum value of the reusable components.
• Analyze, debug and/or assist in problem solving in both development and production environments
• Understand, interpret and translate business and/or engineering requirements into the necessary designs and documentation.
• Apply fundamental skills, concepts and practices to solve difficult assignments.
• Assure a code quality and adherence to coding standards on projects.
• Take part in the Agile iterations planning and demonstrations sessions.
Требования
• Good skills in and experience in Java Development Kit programming required.
• Good skills in and experience in HTML / servlet / JSP / javascript required.
• Experience with programming under Unix/Linux required.
• Experience with FLEX programming preferred.
• Experience with Spring framework preferred.
• Good understanding of the MVC model required.
• Good understanding of the SOA preferred.
• Understanding of the software component model preferred.
• Understanding the software scalability preferred.
• Experience with GUI design preferred.
• Understanding of Test Driven Development and bias to producing high quality code preferred.
• Experience with swing development preferred.
• Experience of Agile Development methodologies preferred.
• Ability to work with multiple partner teams required.
